New Offshore Construction Vessel for DEME

The Belgian shipowner DEME has ordered one Offshore Construction Vessel (OCV) from PaxOcean’s shipyard in Zhoushan, China.

The vessel is based on the SALT 310 OCV design, featuring:

  • Length Overall (LOA): 123.4 meters

  • Breadth: 25.0 meters

  • Deck Area: 1,750 square meters

  • Personnel On Board (POB): 123

  • Offshore Crane (AHC) : 150t

Salt Ship Design will deliver a comprehensive design package, including detailed engineering for the project.

The new SALT 310 OCVs are prepared for alternative fuel, and includes preparations for two cable carousels below main deck.

This will be the second Salt designed Vessel in the DEME fleet after they acquired Viking Neptun, SALT 301 OCV design in 2022.
