Trident Aqua Services has placed an order for a new hybrid live fish carrier, scheduled for delivery in 2028.
Designed by Salt Ship Design, the vessel will be constructed at the Zamakona Shipyard in Bilbao and represents the fourth vessel Trident has commissioned there. With a capacity of 4,000 m³, the ship will feature a state-of-the-art fish-handling system from MMC First Process, a high-performance reverse osmosis plant, and hybrid propulsion technology.
The vessel combines advanced technology with innovative design to meet the aquaculture industry’s highest standards for environmental sustainability, biosecurity, and fish welfare. By investing in battery-hybrid solutions, Trident ensures significant reductions in emissions while maintaining operational reliability and efficiency.
